This easy and simple 3 ingredient creamer is sure to be a winner in your household! On my journey to save money and make more of our every day food at home, I have finally been able to perfect our coffee creamer with this almond creamer! Below is a step by step guide on how to make almond creamer using your Almond Cow.
As a mama of 2, soon to be 3 children, I am constantly trying to find new and cost effective ways to fuel my family the right way without all the added garbage that so many store bought items come with. Knowing exactly what is being put in my family’s bodies is super important to me. Being able to use a tool, like the Almond Cow, gives me a sigh of relief when I know that I am choosing the ingredients that specifically go into each milk, creamer, or lemonade.
Now, you may be wondering what is an Almond Cow? Well, let me tell you that it is an incredible invention to where you can make pretty much any nut or seed milk at home! Not to mention that you are not just limited to milk!
This piece of equipment has been a game changer for us. Your variations are endless. After experimenting, you are bound to come up with a combination that you and your family are sure to love.
The pros of owning an Almond Cow
- Cost savings, in the long run. Yes, it is an investment. The going rate for just the Almond Cow is about $245. If it’s around the holiday’s or special occasions, be sure to check their website or get on their email list as they tend to have good sales around those times. I got mine for $60 off on a black Friday sale they had going on.
- After doing the math though, on how much I would be spending at the grocery store on milk and creamer over the course of a year, I was able to determine that the Almond Cow would pay for itself in about 8 months. Just by making our oat milk and coffee creamer at home, it made sense that it would be a good investment in the long run.
- You can make more than just milk and creamer! The options really are endless. Everything from hot chocolate to apple cider to strawberry lemonade are all possible with the Almond Cow.
- The convenience! You can have homemade milk done in under 3 minutes using the Almond Cow. (Not including soaking times for any ingredients). How amazing is that!
- The taste! Compared to store bought milk, the taste, obviously, is so much fresher! Maybe because you just made it as opposed to it sitting on the shelves in grocery stores with tons of added preservatives and unnecessary gums to make it shelf stable;)
The cons of owning an Almond Cow
- If you have a big family and go through milk quickly, you may have to make a couple batches as the fill basket isn’t very big. If you have a small family, like mine, it’s the perfect size.
- Because homemade food doesn’t have all the preservatives that store bought items have, it doesn’t last as long as a carton of milk from the store would last. Typically my homemade milk will last up to 5 days. That’s if it’s not all guzzled down before then:)
I wouldn’t really consider either of these cons knowing the benefits that come with making it homemade. But, if I had to be picky, those would be my only two cons for the Almond Cow.
